Today, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette @ Tampines Mall's Watson! I just couldn't resist the urge and waiting time, so I just grabbed it off the rack (last 3!) and went to the cashier. The packaging looks amazing! Although that is probably also one of the reasons why it is so expensive for a drugstore brand. But I'm a sucker for cute packagings, so I think I'm willing to pay the price. And Tsubasa looks amazing!
As I undid the packaging, which I have to admit was pretty difficult, the magic unfolds!
It's like a little pocket book with Tsubasa's photo, as well as a little "how-to-use" manual. Very cute!
Despite all the amazing packaging, the make-up product itself doesn't look very awesome.
It looks like a cheap knock-off from Anna Sui, and I do hope they will change the packaging sometime down the road. But it's rather compact and can fit easily in my make-up pouch, so I guess I'm okay with it.
The product itself:
*Please note that actual product is much more darker. My flash is working overtime.
The applicator is crappy and I have a feeling I'll just toss it in the trash and never touch it again. I did read somewhere that they say they will be changing it, I do hope it's true cause that's good news!
I'm all tired and exhausted from my exams, and my eyes hurt from a lack of sleep, so I decided not to try it out on my eyes right away. The powder feels silky, and glides easily on my skin.
One swab on my skin to test out it's intensity. Not bad, considering that my skin tone is actually super dark. And what's a review without a water test?
After 2 flushes of water under my tap...
It did fade a little, but it's still visible. Unless you sweat as much as a running tap, this product should work fine on you (:
I can't say much about this product as I haven't tried it out yet, so will be re-writing a more detailed review in time to come!
