Back with more DollyWink, and...

It's been quite some time since I last blogged! In my previous entry, I expressed great delight in DollyWink's eyeshadow, which I have to take back after using it. The applicator was difficult to use, and the colour couldn't stand out withhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif my somewhat tanned skin. It was like, I didn't apply anything at all. I'm debating if I should get Eyeshadow Palette No. 02 (Gray Pink for Cool Cat Eyes), but since the first eyeshadow palette didn't work out for me, I have my reserves.

Even though I wasn't happy with the eyeshadow palette, I decided to try out it's other products, like it's famous eyeliner and lashes!

I bought all my products from: polkadottyloves.blogspot.com
She replies real fast, and mail out the items quickly too! Bought twice from her and I'm very happy with my service (:

I have yet to try out my lashes since my schedule has been incredibly hectic and I'm down with a bad case of flu + fever, so I only tried out the eyeliner on my hand, in contrast with my other eyeliners.

Starting from the top:
DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner (Black)
K-Palette One Day Tattoo (Black)
Maybelline Unstoppable Liner (Brown)
L'OREAL HiP Colour Chrome Liner (Black)
MAC Technakohl Liner (Black)
SilkyGirl Funky Eyelights Pencil (Silver)
Revlon Matte Liner (White)
*PS: I'm slightly mixed up with L'OREAL's and MAC's, so I can't be sure!

Anyway, imho, I think DollyWink's eyeliner formula is slightly more "runny/watery" as compared to K-Palette. The intensity are about the same, as both are buildable, so if you already own a K-Palette liner, you can forgo DollyWink's, unless you're a sucker for polka dots like me!

If I do go out with my friends soon, I promise to use DollyWink's eyeliner so you can see it under natural lighting (: Going to get a new camera soon as well since my handphone camera don't always do products justice! I'm currently eyeing Sony's Cyber-shot® Digital Camera WX7:

It costs about SGD$399 (shop price), which is way out of my budget since I'm a broke student. And my dad isn't subsiding the cost since I broke the previous family camera because somebody bumped into me and having butter fingers, it slipped out of my hand and landed on the hard ground. For a more budget friendly camera, should I get Nikon Coolpix S3100 instead?

Photobucket

It costs SGD$150 less, retailing at SGD$249. I intend to spend one of the days in June Holidays touring Singapore and looking for the cheapest price I can find for either of these two cameras. I hope the Great Singapore Sale coming will aid me too!

Lately, I've also started the bad habit of painting nails. I keep buying OPI and China Glaze that I'm starting to feel the pinch (since I don't have any income).

It's only 9 bottles, but it costs my entire month's allowance T_T

China Glaze's Crackle Glaze (Crushed Candy) and Red Pearl

The red was a mistake initially! I meant to get it for my mother's birthday present, but it turns out that she really hated red. So I'm using it for myself now. I really like the shine and glitter it has and it goes really well with either Black Shatter (OPI) or Silver Shatter (*New!* from OPI). So instead of tossing it out, it is permanently part of my collection (till it runs out).

I can't live without the base coat, or the top coat. The base coat helps my polish flow better and prevents staining, while the top coat prevents chipping and gives my nails and extra shine ((:

The only OPI colours which I own, Black Onyx (Left), In the Spotlight Pink (from the new collection, Femme de Cirque), and Teenage Dream (Right; Katy Perry Collection!). Black Onyx matches beautifully with silver shatter (opi) or crushed candy (crackle glaze). No problem with this nailpolish! However, for In the Spotlight Pink, the colour is really pale and the formula is "runny". With only one layer, I can achieve a healthy pink hue on my nails, but to get the colour, I would have to layer it for at least thrice. Then again, the colour is still really light. Great for everyday wear though, since it's not obvious (: Last but not least, Teenage Dream! Nothing to say about it, it's just a beautiful shade of pink with lots of glitter! Great for any age (my mom is wearing it and totally loved it! got it for her for mother's day since she rejected red pearl!).

Last but not least... *drum rolls*

THE TWO SHATTER SHADES - BLACK AND SILVER SHATTER! Would I say I have to fight tooth and nail for it? For Black Shatter, I had to wait a full 2 months before I could lay my hands on it! I was real lucky for Silver Shatter though! I placed my order real early, so it came within two weeks (shipping time). However, I hope that OPI has changed the formula for Silver Shatter. Even with proper keeping habits, OPI Black Shatter dries real quickly (even within the bottle). OPI Silver Shatter seems to be able to glide more smoothly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it would not share the same problem as Black Shatter!

On a side note, once I started eating sashimi (I used to avoid it), I'm extremely in love with it now!

At Momoya's, the ambience is great and the sashimi looks and tastes awesome as well!

Tantalizing? ;)
